Install new Mi Fit but do NOT open it.
Set your phone language to English or Chinese
Open official Mi Fit app and follow below steps:
If firmware update doesn't start, try close completely Mi Fit app or reboot phone
To ensure everything has been updated correctly, do this test: enable display incoming call name on official Mi Fit app (disable incoming call on Notify app) and check if your Mi Band show caller name.
Check you are running last official Mi Fit version or download 2.2.9 version if procedure doesn't work

First download latest Mi Fit version 2.2.7.4

Install new Mi Fit but do NOT open it.
Set your phone language to Chinese (be careful! Keep in mind all steps to revert back language once finished this procedure!!)
Set Chinese Simplified language (简体中文)
Open official Mi Fit app and follow below steps:
If firmware update doesn't start, try close completely Mi Fit app or reboot phone
Set phone language back to your language
